Hazem Alzomar

Alzomar’s sculptural work is placed amidst the rubble, which is transformed into both pedestal and exhibition space. Suspended between broken columns is a spherical construction resembling a rolled-up ball of wool, made from water pipes. Although its material appears to be excavated from the rubble from which it hangs, its floating form creates a mystical moment within a desolate, abandoned zone. Upon further examination, the form speaks to the struggle of obtaining water and the destruction of water wells. One senses a sculpture searching for life and water within itself.

توضع أعمال الزمر النحتية وسط الأنقاض، التي تتحول إلى قاعدة ومساحة عرض في آن واحد. تتدلى بين الأعمدة المكسورة بنية كروية تشبه كرة صوف ملفوفة، مصنوعة من أنابيب المياه. على الرغم من أن مادتها تبدو وكأنها مستخرجة من الأنقاض التي تتدلى منها، إلا أن شكلها العائم يخلق لحظة غامضة داخل منطقة مهجورة ومهملة. عند الفحص الدقيق، يتحدث الشكل عن صراع الحصول على الماء وتدمير آبار المياه. يشعر المرء بأن التمثال يبحث عن الحياة والماء داخل نفسه
